چکیده

Abstract This paper summarizes the scaling approach and results from first experimental campaign of Floating Offshore-wind Controls Advanced Laboratory (FOCAL) Experimental Program, which is focused on developing public data sets to support validation numerical models for floating wind control co-design. A 1:70 Froude-scale performance-matched model IEA Wind 15-MW reference turbine was designed, built, characterized a fixed base. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Reference Open-Source COntroller (ROSCO) integrated into scale testing examine impact advanced generator strategies have performance loads, enabling design optimization.

From experiment design to closed-loop control

The links between identification and control are examined. The main trends in this research area are summarized, with particular focus on the design of low complexity controllers from a statistical perspective. It is argued that a guiding principle should be to model as well as possible before any model or controller simplifications are made as this ensures the best statistical accuracy. This d...

Optimum Design of the Air-turbine for the High-speed Dental Air-turbine Handpiece Using Design of Experiment

High-pressure air enters the air-turbine of the dental handpiece and strikes the blades to drive the impeller. The air-turbine has impeller and the air tube is connected to the air-turbine housing. The flowfield of the air-turbine were investigated for the optimum air-turbine design using ANSYS CFX. The objective of the research was to find an optimum design variables for the air-turbine to inc...

Results from the NOMAD Experiment

The NOMAD experiment has been searching for νμ ↔ ντ oscillations by looking for the appearance of τ − in events from the CERN-SPS neutrino beam. With some improvements in the analysis techniques with respect to the previous published results and including data from 1998 run, no evidence for oscillations is found, resulting in an updated limit on the oscillation probability of P (νμ ↔ ντ ) < 0.5...

Results from the Borexino Experiment

Borexino is a low threshold liquid-scintillator detector for solar neutrinos located in the LNGS underground laboratory, Italy. Because of the ultra-high radio purity it is the first experiment able to do a real-time analysis of the low energetic solar neutrinos. A detection of the solar Be neutrinos with a rate of 49 ± 7 counts/day/100tons can be reported (192 days of live time measurement). B...

Results from the HiRes Experiment

The High Resolution Fly’s Eye (HiRes) Experiment has been in operation in monocular mode since 1997 and in stereo mode since late 1999. The published HiRes monocular spectrum is consistent with the GZK Suppression at 10 eV and observes an ankle structure at 10 eV. The preliminary stereo spectrum is consistent with the monocular spectrum. Various anisotropy studies with both monocular and stereo...
